Safe stretch length is 150% of relaxed stretched length. Polypropylene is a general purpose bungee material which wears well outdoors. Nylon is a general purpose bungee material which is ideal for marine applications. Nylon bungee cord may degrade quicker than polypropylene in direct sunlight.
